MONTANA TEAM UPDATE:

That’s a wrap. What an incredible week in Montana! 🙌

Your FBC missions team wrapped up an amazing few days of serving and God showed up in a big way.

We finished the fence. We got our hands dirty finished the planting at the church. But the most important thing we planted was the gospel. And at a community outreach event, at least 10 people indicated a decision for Jesus!!’

To everyone who prayed, gave, and sent us, this is what your faithfulness made possible. Thank you.

MONTANA TEAM UPDATE:

Sometimes missions looks like a sermon. Sometimes it looks like a hammer, a shovel, and a bag of mulch.

Wednesday, our team refreshed the flower beds around HopeBridge Church. This will help guests feel welcomed before they ever walk through a door.

We also built a fence for the Stahlman family. It’s a small thing that will create space for in-home Bible studies to happen.

Missions is all about: removing obstacles so people can encounter Jesus right where they are. Please pray for the community outreach we will participate in on Thursday.

MONTANA TEAM UPDATE: Sometimes missions means you have to improvise. On the trip to Glendive on Tuesday, the AC in the back of the van decided to quit. Temps outside were 103°. Some dryer vent, duct tape, and a fan created a makeshift AC unit for the rear of the van. We made it to Glendive and had dinner with Pastor David and his family at Hope Bridge Church. Looking forward to a great day of ministry today.

UPDATE ON THE MONTANA MISSIONS TEAM: Our mission team and some members of Blue Creek Baptist Church took a well-earned day off on Monday. God did not disappoint. We drove through Red Lodge, Montana, then up and over the Beartooth Highway, through Beartooth pass at nearly 11,000 feet, and into Wyoming. Snow-capped peaks, endless sky, and views that stop you mid-sentence. There are moments when creation just preaches for itself, and today was one of them. What an awesome God we serve.

We will be traveling to Glendive today to partner with the Stahlmans and Hope Bridge Church for the rest of the week.

There’s something special about gathering with believers you’ve never met before and feeling right at home. We enjoyed some real fellowship after the service, the kind that reminds you why the local church is such a gift. Then we spent the afternoon taking in some of the most stunning scenery God ever made. Montana has a way of making you stop and just stand in awe.

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2.
