Christ Church Budd Lake will be celebrating the birth of Jesus on Christmas Eve at 7PM with a traditional Communion service featuring classic Christmas carols and songs. We are happy to welcome the Rev. Elizabeth Ivell as our guest priest for this service. Join us! All are welcome.

We thank our Senior and Junior Wardens Elizabeth Huxtable and Jenny Vuono for buying and delivering all of these Christmas gifts to the annual Diocesan gathering of gifts for children of the incarcerated. They also had a chance to meet Bishop Carlye at the grand opening of the new Diocesan headquarters in Livingston.

Today, November 16th, we celebrated the baptism of Somtochi Eliana Nwachukwu, daughter of Edwin and Blessing. We want to thank both Rev. Lorna Woodham and Deacon Annie Pike for celebrating and officiating this baptismal service, along with additional prayers from Godfred Asamel, Somtochi's new godfather. We also want to thank the Nwachukwa family for hosting the reception downstairs at the church immediately after the service. Welcome Somtochi!

Today was delivery day for the Dover North Porch- Women and Infant Centers baby items collected at our church over the past month. A special thanks as always to the Mount Olive Pantry and also to George and Paula Ackley for additional diapers and hand-made knitted items, which were blessed by Rev. Archie Palmer earlier this month!

On Sunday June 15th we welcomed the Rev. Sharon Hausman to our church for a Communion service. During the service she blessed the pictured items created by our member Paula Ackley. The baby items will be donated to North Porch- Women and Infant Centers, while the adult items will be donated to the Seamen's Institute. Thank you Paula and Sharon!

THIS BLOOD DRIVE OCCURS THIS SATURDAY JUNE 7TH AT ST JUDE RC CHURCH IN BUDD LAKE:

There is an urgent need for blood, and we need your help! The region’s blood supply has dipped below the 1-2 day level for critical blood types. Besides donating ourselves, we can help by encouraging others to do the same, spreading the word on social media and within our networks to amplify this urgent need.

A single blood donation could save up to three lives, a lifesaving gift for those most in need! As we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of networking with New Jersey Blood Services, what better way can we spend an hour or so of our time, by helping to save lives! In addition to cancer patients starting at the youngest age, there are trauma victims, moms giving birth, newborn babies, transplant patients, and individuals undergoing surgery, requiring blood. With the summer months, there is also more of a demand put on our blood supply due to accidents along with a decrease in donations during this same time frame. So please help to recruit blood donors. Donating blood could possibly help improve your own cardiovascular health and may help lower the risk of certain cancers – by keeping iron levels in check.

We will be serving pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, Taylor ham, fruit, and more including vegan and gluten free options. We added pork breakfast sausage to our menu for the 10-year anniversary! Each donor will have a choice of a T-shirt, or a choice of a ShopRite or Enzo’s $5 gift card. To help boost donations, those who can donate at this drive will be automatically entered into the Subway Series Sweepstakes for a chance to win five tickets to the Mets vs. Yankees game on Sunday, July 6th at Citi Field. Three winners will be chosen through a random drawing on or before Tuesday, June 24th. On Thursday (May 22nd) we made our monthly run to Dover to deliver a vanload of baby supplies (diapers, formula, food, and hand-knitted hats) to North Porch- Women and Infant Centers at St. John's Episcopal Church. Charles and Elizabeth are sitting in front of all the donations. Many thanks to the Mount Olive Pantry and to our parishioners for these gifts.

Today, Sunday May 25th, our church celebrated 4 baptisms! We welcome the newly baptized Jakari, Brandon, Jackson, and Sadie and we thank Rev. Lorna for conducting the baptismal service.
