Congratulations to Mrs. Jan Allen on receiving the 2026 Lumen Gentium Award!

Presented by Bishop Garcia on June 16 at the Mayborn Convention Center in Temple, this honor recognizes Catholics who exemplify the spirit of Lumen Gentium through their faith, service, and dedication to the Church.

On May 23, the men of our parish stepped away from the noise of daily life and entered into a day of prayer, reflection, and silence at Fr. Matthew’s Silent Men’s Retreat. Through moments of stillness, fellowship, and encounter with Christ, hearts were renewed and faith was strengthened.

Thank you to Fr. Matthew for leading us and to all the men who answered the call to be still and listen.

El 23 de mayo, los hombres de nuestra parroquia se alejaron del bullicio de la vida cotidiana y se sumergieron en una jornada de oración, reflexión y silencio en el Retiro Silencioso para Hombres del Fr. Matthew. A través de momentos de quietud, compañerismo y encuentro con Cristo, los corazones se renovaron y la fe se fortaleció.

Gracias al Fr. Matthew por guiarnos y a todos los hombres que respondieron al llamado a hacer silencio y escuchar.

Yesterday, June 8, marked two years since Fr. Matthew was ordained to the priesthood. Over the past two years, he has faithfully and joyfully served the Santa Cruz Catholic Church and School community. Through his ministry, compassion, and dedication, he has helped countless individuals and families grow closer to Christ.

We are truly blessed and grateful for his priesthood, his unwavering faith, and the many ways he walks alongside us on our spiritual journey. Please join us in thanking Fr. Matthew and praying for God’s continued blessings upon him as he continues to serve our parish community with love and devotion.✝️
