Buchanan First United Methodist Church Our Vision: to have the eyes, heart and hands of God. A magnetic and energetic church, First United Methodist is located in Buchanan, Michigan.

Our core values are Christ, Prayer, Family, the Bible, and Mission. Join us for our "Perlude" Coffee and Conversation starting at 9:00am in the Narthex on Sunday mornings. Sunday worship starts at 9:30 am. There is also a Meet & Greet after the service. There is Sunday School available for children at 8:30am.

Buchanan First UMC is hosting the award winning Southern Gospel group, Westward Road on Tuesday, June 23 at 7:00pm.

This is a free concert (love offering will be taken).

"Plans have been announced for a national prayer gathering on May 17, 2026, inviting the country to rededicate itself to God. A president openly standing under a cross and making that call is not a small gesture—it sends a message that goes far beyond political lines.

It points to the belief that the nation’s strength and purpose come from a higher source, not just human leadership or systems.

Still, the significance of this moment will depend on what comes next. If it leads to true repentance and meaningful change, it could mark a turning point. If not, it may remain symbolic.

Either way, a public call back to God is a moment of significance—and May 17 may be remembered because of it."
