Our Mother of Good Counsel As a community of faith we proclaim the Good News of Christ. Our people minister to one another, to all the People of God, to teach, guide and sanctify.

As a community of faith we have not only a right, but a responsibility to proclaim the Good News of Christ - over a hundred years of faith and service by, for, and to the people of Our Mother of Good Counsel. We celebrate not only our share in the church of Bryn Mawr, Haverford and this surrounding area, but also our part with the People of God from Rome to Chulucanas, from Villanova to Nagasaki a

nd from Merion to Lima. Our people have ministered to one another, to the People of God, to teach, guide and sanctify. We cannot be silent, for the stones themselves would shout for joy and gratitude. We ask Our Mother of Good Counsel with the simplicity of children, her children, "Mother, tell us what are we to do?" As our patronness, she has guided us through the past and we have the faith and service of years behind us to know that we can always depend on that guidance as we continue our faith and service to and for the Lord, Jesus Christ, as parishioners of Our Mother of Good Counsel Parish Community.

For 34 years, I have worked with the Augustinian Friars in various capacities. Joe has worked for them for 38. They have helped to make us the people we are today. Even back in high school, being part of the Bonner Prendie community, and the Malvern Prep Community, we were blessed to be among them. Megan has grown so much as she spent a year of service with the Augustinian Volunteers.
Today, April 24, we launch the second annual giving initiative as we celebrate the conversion of St Augustine.
I ask you to help us help them to continue their mission in the world. I ask you to consider contributing to the Augustinian Fund in support of our elderly and infirmed friars, those studying to become part of our Order, and for the friars ministries that serve the marginalized.
