Join us tomorrow night, Tuesday June 2nd for another night of fun and learning and\n It is all completely free. Monday was awesome as all the kids arrived and were welcomed with everyone wearing costumes and also were given their own costumes to wear representing biblical times. Forty nine kids experienced what it was like living in the Bible days with music, tasting fig cookies, olives and yogurt, making bricks out of mud, creating pinch pots out of clay, learning how to speak Hebrew, learning how to dance and sing in Hebrew and skits, and having a special visit by "Jesus" demonstrating how he healed people and has a message of love for them.

We've encouraging everyone to invite a friend so that your kids can also experience all the interesting and fun things we will be doing Tuesday night from 6 to 8 PM. And if you can't come Tuesday, stop in and join the fun Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The Bryan First Brethren Church is located at 13050 County Road C across from the Bryan High school and the most Isaac field house.

🌟 **SING ALONG AND BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY!**
🎶 **Share with a friend who needs encouragement today!**

This week at our Sing Along, we’re celebrating three powerful worship songs — each one written to draw our hearts closer to God. We’re also reflecting on **Pentecost**, the moment the Holy Spirit filled believers with boldness, unity, and purpose. Read below to learn the meaning behind each song and the message of Pentecost!

---

# # # 🎵 **1. Better Is One Day**
**Author:** *Matt Redman*
**Meaning:** Inspired by Psalm 84, this song reminds us that **one moment in God’s presence is worth more than anything the world can offer**. Redman wrote it to help believers long for God’s house, God’s nearness, and God’s peace above all else.

---

# # # 🎵 **2. You Are Holy (Prince of Peace)**
**Author:** *Michael W. Smith*
**Meaning:** Written as a call-and-response worship anthem, this song declares the **holiness, majesty, and authority of Jesus**. Its structure reflects the unity of the church — many voices, one message: *He alone is worthy.*

---

# # # 🎵 **3. Draw Me Close to You**
**Author:** *Kelly Carpenter*
**Meaning:** Born out of a season of personal surrender, this song expresses a simple but powerful prayer:
“**Lord, I need You more than anything else.**”
It invites us to return to God’s heart, where healing, comfort, and belonging are found.

---

# # # 🔥 **A Reading on Pentecost**
Pentecost marks the day the Holy Spirit came upon the early believers (Acts 2). A rushing wind filled the room, tongues of fire rested on each person, and they began speaking in languages they had never learned.
**The message:**
- God empowers ordinary people
- The Gospel is for every nation
- The Church was born in unity, courage, and mission

Pentecost reminds us that **the same Spirit who moved then is still moving today**.

🎉 **Join us this week!**
Let these songs lift your spirit, strengthen your faith, and remind you that God is near.
Bring a friend — everyone is welcome!

SING ALONG AND SHARE!
# 🎵 **Are You Washed in the Blood of the Lamb**
**Author:** *Elisha A. Hoffman* (1878)

This classic gospel hymn is a joyful yet deeply reflective invitation to consider the saving power of Jesus’ sacrifice. Written by pastor and hymnwriter **Elisha A. Hoffman**, the song asks a simple but life‑changing question: *Have you placed your trust in the cleansing, redeeming blood of Christ?*

Its message centers on the heart of the Gospel — that Jesus, the Lamb of God, washes away sin and makes us new. The upbeat melody paired with its powerful truth has made it a beloved hymn of assurance, salvation, and celebration for generations.
