The Voltz Transition Ministry from Bulgaria to Japan

After completing their two-year internship, Jacob and Hailee Voltz, will transition their missionary service from Bulgaria to Japan. In these first two years, they have been a part of multigenerational ministries such as weekly nursing home visits, English Clubs for children and adults, men’s and women’s monthly meetings, drum lessons, and various other ministries. Jacob and Hailee both have a heart for encouragement and serving others. They have been instrumental to the ministry with the IM field team in reaching Bulgarians with the Gospel and the love of Christ.

Their first child, Aurora, was born in Bulgaria. During their current Stateside assignment in June, they welcomed baby Lilah to their family. They share that Bulgaria will always hold a special place in their hearts.

They look toward the future with hope and excitement to continue the mission of sharing the Gospel with the lost around the world. Once they can secure their funding and support, they will relocate to Japan to serve alongside their new teammates, Rusty and Brenda Carney, at the Free Will Baptist Kamifukuoka Christ Church (KCC) in the Tokyo area of Saitama Prefecture.
Rusty shared his enthusiasm for the news of serving alongside the Voltz when he said, “We are looking forward with excitement to the Voltz family joining the KCC team. We believe they are an answer to prayer and will truly be an asset to the ministry and furtherance of the Gospel in the Kamifukuoka area.”

The Voltz will use their gifts in technology, English outreach, relationship-building, and church planting to support the ministry on their new field. English ministries and digital outreach offer natural avenues to meet people who might otherwise have little connection to a Christian church in Japan.

Their roles will support KCC’s vision of “reaching families to reach the world for Christ.”

PAKISTAN PARTNERSHIP
World Missions Offering 2026
Pakistan is home to more than 220 million people, with at least 96% of the population identifying as Muslim and more than 500 people groups unreached by the Gospel.

Free Will Baptist ministry in Pakistan began around 2005 and has grown to include more than 60 churches and houses of prayer, Christian schools, a men's rehabilitation ministry, and vocational training. Since 2022, IM has partnered with believers in Pakistan to provide leadership training and help expand their ministries.

GOD IS AT WORK!
This month, 37 new believers were baptized following six months of faithful outreach and discipleship.

On August 21, 90 young people gathered at God's Love FWB Church in Lahore for a youth conference focused on finding their identity, fellowship, and future in Christ.

The WMO helps missionaries and ministries carry out God’s purpose in the countries where IM has a presence to reach people with the Gospel. They Minister, Share the Gospel, Disciple, Plant Churches, Train Leaders, and Partner with National Churches.

New missionaries to France.
We are Cody, Lauren, Thatcher, and Mallory Herren! We fell in love shortly after being set up by our mutual friend in college. After getting married in 2017, Lauren graduated as an RN, BSN, and Cody graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019. We were blessed with two amazing kids who are so much fun and made our hearts grow more than we thought possible. We love anything outdoors. Whether it is gardening, running, hiking, fishing, or snowboarding, we just love to be outside! We had the opportunity to be ETEAM coordinators from 2022-2025, which God used to prepare us for Him calling us to full-time overseas missions! Our internship will consist of learning and immersing ourselves into the culture, discipleship, as well as learning the “ins and outs” of church planting in France.
We have long awaited this next chapter in our lives, as we have had the desire for foreign missions for more than a decade. We clearly heard the Lord tell us, “Follow me.” This meant to drop our plans for His plans, which have been so life-giving! So many open doors led us to France! One of the most secular countries, with less than 2% of the entire population being evangelical Christians. This broke our hearts that there are so many people in France who are living and dying without hearing the Gospel.

How you can pray for the Herren family:
Pray for our kids as they are getting ready to transition to a brand-new country.
Pray for the French and the unreached people we will encounter, that God would soften their hearts towards the Gospel.
Pray for our family as we travel to tell others about our burden for France and ask them to partner with us!
