With the passing of Her Royal Highness 💙Queen Elizabeth II 💙 we are honored to provide Bryan-College Station a way to offer your condolences to this outstanding monarch and ruler of Great Britain for over 70 years. Residents who want to pay their respects to the royal family can sign a register book at our Funeral Center in Bryan.
We will have the book available to sign in our Legacy Lounge each weekday from 9am to 4pm from now until the day of her funeral. Each person who signs will receive a keepsake laminated photo of the Queen.
From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, the funeral home will be serving free hot tea, lemonade, and cookies for guests. Guests can sign their name or jot down any thoughts or sentiments they have about the Queen. Space in the books is unlimited and as many books as needed will be used. 🙏

When you come to Restever today to remember your serviceman or servicewoman now gone, with appreciation to those who served our country, you'll find small American flags at their gravesites. Those are made possible thanks to private donors who wanted each gift of time in service to be remembered. Please consider our affordable silk flower program, available 1 to 4 times a year, depending on what you want and need. Your additional choices and time in thinking about them is another gift you make to your ancestors.

This week we had perfect weather for a meaningful graveside service for C. Wendel Anderson, a Brazos Valley native who made his home with his family for 60 years in Houston, and who came 'home'' to be buried near fellow family who preceded him in death. His service on Monday was attended by so very many family members and friends, each one of them an important part of his lifetime in Houston. For his faithful service to our country, full Naval Military Honors were offered in Wendel's memory. The flag presentation always stirs tremendous emotions for all who witness it. In loving memory of C. Wendel Anderson.

Twenty years ago, November 18, 1999, in fact, the history of both Texas A&M’s bonfire and the Bryan-College Station community was changed, permanently, with the collapse of the bonfire stack, then being constructed by almost 60 Aggie students and former students. Twelve lives were lost and 27 more were injured that night. As the heroic effort to locate students began, our affiliate, Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers family was called into action before 4 am. We responded immediately with three of our team members reporting to the scene: our 4th generation owner, Mike Jones; former employee and Bryan native, Cody Dick, and Brent Russell. The events of that night will always be remembered, as are the students who lost their lives living the Aggie tradition. We dedicate our video to the memories of those 12 special people and with this go our prayers for continued strength and healing of the families and friends of all who knew and loved them.
