Saint Joan of Arc…pray for us! 🙏🏻

Happy Feast of Saint Joan of Arc! 🗡🇫🇷 She was a fifteenth-century French peasant girl, who, at nineteen years old was guided by the voices of her patron saints to install the rightful king to the throne of France, and lead/inspire the French armies to eventual victory over the occupying English forces in the Hundred Years’ War. She was captured in battle, forgotten by her king, subjected to a farce of a trial, and eventually convicted on a charge of having dressed like a man. For this, she was executed by burning at the stake.

Eight years ago today, Fr. Andrew, along with his classmates Fr. Kyle Gase and Fr. Scott Perry, was ordained to the priesthood!⁣

Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen, soon to be Saint Fulton Sheen, said, “A priest is one who makes Christ visible.” Thank you, Fr. Andrew, for making Jesus visible to our Parish Family through your reverence, your prayer, and your service to the people of God. We are so grateful for your ministry!

Enter into the 250th Anniversary of America and the decision of the U.S. Bishops to consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by participating in the “250 Hours of Adoration” initiative and the action of “250 Works of Mercy.”⁣

Every holy hour spent in prayer for our nation and every work of mercy performed can be logged in the binders on the table in the Gathering Space at Saint Patrick. We hope to reach 250 hours and 250 works of mercy by July 4th so, Parish Family, it’s time to get to work for the glory of God! ⁣

Additionally, enthrone your home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Learn how by visiting this link: ⁣ https://files.kofc.org/download/assets/Enthronement+Booklet/541498da9d8511f08d21221c26c50bba

Happy Pentecost! Come, Holy Spirit! 🔥

On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit didn’t just show up… He launched the Church. The same apostles who were hiding in fear in the upper room walked out filled with fire, preaching the Gospel and baptizing in Jesus’ name. That’s why Pentecost is known as the “birthday of the Church” — the day the Body of Christ stepped into its mission.
Come, Holy Spirit. Do in us what you did in them.
