This weekend, the Gospel invites us to remember a moment when Jesus revealed something extraordinary to Peter, James, and John. They didn’t understand everything they were seeing at the time, but that experience stayed with them and became part of the story they shared.

As they continue to face unexpected challenges on this journey, we ask you to pray for God's healing, strength, peace, and comfort to surround them each day. We also remember their loved ones who are keeping watch and balancing time between the hospital and home.

This weekend’s Gospel begins with a crowd, a hungry need, and a very small lunch. The disciples saw what was lacking; Jesus saw what could be blessed. That’s a hopeful reminder for busy families, tired grandparents, stressed parents, and anyone who feels they don’t have enough time, energy, patience, or resources.

Before Mass this weekend, take a moment to ask: What small gift could I place in Jesus’ hands right now? A kind word, a phone call, a meal, a prayer, or simply your attention to someone who needs it may be more than enough when God is involved.

Come to Mass ready to notice not only what is scarce, but also the quiet abundance God is already providing in your life.
