John 9 tells us that Jesus healed a man born blind by making mud and placing it on his eyes. The action feels strange to modern readers, but John often uses physical signs to reveal who Jesus is.

The mud invites us to remember Genesis, where God formed the man from the dust of the ground. Jesus does not heal from a sterile distance here. He uses earth, moisture, touch, and command. The Creator is near enough to enter the mess of human need.

We should be careful with the mystery of the man's blindness. Jesus specifically refuses the easy assumption that his condition was a simple punishment for someone's sin. In times of uncertainty and fear, remember that you are not alone. The world may seem daunting, filled with challenges that test your courage, but God's promise in Psalm 91:5 is a reminder that His protection is unwavering. In the chaos of life, amidst the noise and busyness, God calls us to pause and remember who He is. He doesn’t ask us to fix everything, just to be still and trust Him. Resting in His presence reminds us that He is sovereign over all things and holds every moment in His hands.

Stillness is not weakness—it’s faith. It’s choosing peace in the middle of uncertainty and believing that God is working even when we don't see it. When we quiet our hearts, we begin to hear His voice more clearly.
