Today, we welcomed the Berry College Bonner Scholars Program. They were in Brunswick to tour historical sites, focusing on civil rights sites.

After lunch in the Parish Hall, they had the opportunity to visit the church to hear about some of the church’s history and our work in the community, and to view the Civil Rights stained-glass windows.

At Berry College, the Bonner Scholars Program aligns with their mission to educate the head, heart, and hands. This program embodies our motto, "Not to be ministered unto, but to minister," by engaging students in meaningful service projects and internships in the Rome/Floyd community.

Berry's Bonner Scholars Program includes approximately 80 students, with 20 in each class cohort. Scholars complete 140 hours of community service each semester with local nonprofits and two summer service projects totaling 280 hours, which can be completed anywhere.
