Congratulations, Phyllis, Millie, and Lee for placing in the annual “Calvary Chili Cook-Off “last night! Everyone had a fun time enjoying a variety of delicious chili recipes by over a dozen members of the church! Each one had their own secret spices, peppers, or methods in creating a unique twist on a timeless classic called chili.

Special thanks to Ms. Marie, Calvary’s hospitality director, for organizing this amazing event and to everyone who contributed! Join us next Wednesday at 5:30 pm, it’s “Breakfast for Dinner” night!

🙌 Today at Calvary: Pastor Ben continued his sermon series in the book of Galatians (chapter 5), “The Doctrine of Deliverance.” There is freedom in a life lived for Christ Jesus because where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!

Today we were reminded that as a believer we have been set free from sin, and to consider daily that all things are permissible, but not all things are beneficial (1 Corinthians 6:12). Enjoy the freedom found in Christ Jesus through the fruit of the spirit prayerfully considering, “What should I do with my freedom?”

What a blessing it is when believes exercises their freedom to share love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control for His Glory!

🍇🍏 🍉 🍌Galatians 5:22-23🍎 🍇🍍🍊

We hope you utilize your freedom in Christ to come join us at any of our meeting times. It’s so easy to just stay in bed, chill on the couch, or spend Sundays on the boat, but the benefits are far greater when you choose to give that little bit of time to the Lord. Your presence is also of great encouragement to those around you!

So come be our guest and see why so many are now saying, “Wow, this church really feels like home!” 🥰

Carl Shields, our Children’s Ministry Director, always has something exciting planned for Children’s Church and today was no different!

We’re so thankful for Carl and his wife, Lauren, who plan interactive Bible lessons, games, and spend time in prayer over the children. It’s no surprise that the kids are always excited to see them every Sunday and Wednesday evening because they know when they come to Calvary they will be loved and cared for.

It’s our favorite time of year again!

🌎 ✈️ It’s time to start collecting items for Operation Christmas Child. Ms. Jimmie, Calvary’s OCC coordinator, has set a goal and planned a packing party, but before we can pack boxes we need lots of *items to put inside of them.

👉 Bring your items to the church between now and November 8 and drop them off in the labeled containers at the two main entrances.

🙏 In addition to your donations, please begin praying that our boxes bring the children hope, fill their hearts with joy, and remind them that they are loved; we love, because He first loved us.

🙌 Our ultimate prayer is for everyone to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. After all, He is the greatest gift of all!

🎄 *ITEMS TO DONATE

Today, Pastor Ben Campbell presented Wayne Hill and Carl Shields (wife, Lauren) as the newest ordained decons at Calvary Baptist Church. The congregation is grateful to now have 10 qualified willing men to serve as deacons! Hallelujah! The Lord is faithful to provide and we’re so happy these men and their wives have decided to answer the call to serve His people!

The morning service only got better when Wyndell, Phyllis, and Kayleigh decided to make Calvary Baptist their home church! What a blessing they are and we look forward to all the Lord has in store for them.

🙌 To God be the glory for the great things He’s done and we’re humbled to get to be a part of His plans here at Calvary Baptist Church.
