💦 The Holy Spirit was moving in the Lord’s house today as Pastor Ben baptized Elijah and he shared with the church that though he was baptized as a baby, it was important that he get things in proper Biblical order. Now as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, this was the correct time to be baptized. He also wanted to share his decision with others by his obedience through believer’s baptism. The church cheered and everyone was greatly encouraged by Elijah’s testimony and decision today!

Then brother Jerry preached a stirring message from chapters 3 & 4 in the book of Ecclesiastes. He reminded us that we need Christ as our righteous judge. It is in Christ alone that we have hope, joy, and true justice. The world cannot provide what only the Lord of lord’s and King of kings can! 🙌

Last, Linda came forward and decided to make Calvary Baptist her church home and this only added more joy to this wonderful Sunday!

Today at Calvary, Pastor Ben preached a dynamic message on the power of the Holy Spirit within, drawing on Acts chapter 2. All the efforts and “religious acts” of men are ever so meaningless if not done for the glory of the Lord, and unto Him alone. The Lord knows our intentions and fills us with the strength to stand through all circumstances, to say the difficult things that are true, and to give a correct answer.

At the close of the service, four individuals made the decision to join Calvary Baptist Church. We are elated to welcome Don, Brenda, Joy, and Gracie into our congregation. It is a blessing to see how the Lord is moving in this church to bring Him glory.

Following the service we celebrated the upcoming arrival of baby Turner with a luncheon, fellowship, and gifts. We are so thankful for the Turner family and we rejoice alongside them.

Thank you to everyone who prepared food, the young ladies who assisted with decorating, Angel for the hand painted banner, and a special thank you to Mrs. Kari Owen’s for sharing her gift for design and event planning to bless the church family. It really was a beautiful afternoon celebrating a new blessing.

Calvary is actually full of wonderful people who love Christ, love each other, and serve sacrificially in an array of ways which makes this church so unique. ♥️ Please be our guest and experience what the Lord is doing through a congregation called “Calvary Baptist Church.” There’s a place here for everyone.

Jody Turner is an accomplished pianist who decided years ago to dedicate his abilities to the Lord's use.
