In the early months of 1996 the winds of the Holy Spirit began to stir the heart of a young man, James Lamar “Mark” Baker, Jr. The Holy Spirit led Pastor Mark Baker to share his vision with First Lady Lora Michelle Baker, his wife, Deacon Eddie Williams, Minister Jeffery Muchison, bro

ther-in-law (now Pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church) and their wives Sister Sandra Muchison (now First Lady Sandra Muchison and Pastor Baker’s sister) and Sister Janice Williams. They agreed to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit as Pastor Baker revealed that God was leading him to go forth in ministry. Pastor Baker’s vision is to have a ministry where the vision is the people, and for the people, and not the people for the vision. A Christ-centered ministry focused on the people. A ministry that is not just focused on getting people to build the vision, but the vision is to build the people of God. After several months of praying and fasting, the Holy Spirit led Pastor Baker in the decision to start a ministry, resulting in the birth of, “Greater Works Than These Ministries”.

Since 1996 Pastor Mark Baker has been effectively “Spreading the word through faith”. Starting in a storefront building Pastor Mark & Lora Baker have caused countless to “Believe Again”. Located in the great city of Brunswick, Georgia our ministry has impacted the lives of believers nationwide. The biblical teaching of Faith, Holiness, and Finances that Pastor Baker exudes from the pulpit impact thousands weekly. We pray these services are a blessing to you. I am still overwhelmed from our time of fellowship last night on Pentecost Sunday with my brother Lady Francis and This is a relationship that has history from childhood as myself and John were raised in the First Born Church of the Living God. God has done marvelous things in both our lives! I’m grateful he would allow me to minister the word of faith to his amazing people. Thank you my brother and Ruach for receiving. This graduation season another grand has walked across the stage 🥹. Congratulations to my grandson Jaylin for finishing this chapter of high school. I am excited to see what all God is going to do through him. God has given him the opportunity to further his education and athletics in track at Thomas University! My word to each of my grands has been to stay focused! He has done just that and we know that great things are in store! Love you grandson, Congratulations!

Today was one for the history books my covenant brother came to impart and demonstrate faith at a whole new level. I am lost for words for how the Holy Spirit used him today. I believe after the word today Greater Works is ready for what the future holds. God will always provide for his people when we are conscious of the Principles, Place, and People. Thank you my brother for your support, generosity, and your impartation.
