This is what it looks like to do something about something.

Twice each month, people from Polaris help serve meals at Cleveland City Mission. Some volunteer in person. Others donate food. Each part helps us move toward people experiencing homelessness with practical care.

Upcoming meal dates:

September 15 and 22
October 6 and 20
November 3 and 17
December 1 and 15

Rise & Shine is ready to blast off into a new school year! 🚀

Kindergarten is beginning, Meet the Teacher events are underway, and classrooms will soon be filled with children learning, creating, building friendships, and discovering new things together.

Rise & Shine Christian Preschool & Kindergarten is an important part of the everyday life of Polaris, and we’re grateful for the teachers and families who make it such a caring, joyful place for children to grow.

Welcome back, Rise & Shine families. We’re excited to see where this year takes you!

Life is hard. We need each other.

That is why evenings like this matter. A group of Polaris women gathered around a long table last night for good food, conversation, laughter, and the simple gift of time together.

Church is more than a place to attend on Sunday. It is a community where friendships can begin and grow—and sometimes that starts by simply pulling up a chair.

Know the Bible well—or barely at all? Come on in.

This fall, Polaris is hosting a Men’s Bible Open House. It’s a relaxed place to open the Bible, ask honest questions, pick up a few things that may help with life, and meet some other guys.

There’s no commitment. Come any Thursday you can. You don’t need to bring anything, prepare anything, or pretend to know more than you do.

Polaris guys and men from the community are all welcome.

Life can get full fast.

Work, family, responsibilities, and crowded schedules can leave women surrounded by activity but still short on meaningful friendship and encouragement.

At Polaris, we want to keep creating approachable places for women to connect, grow in faith, and spend time together.

Women’s Dinner is Tuesday, August 11 at 6:30 PM at Blue Heron in Medina. Two women’s Bible studies will also begin in September—one on Tuesday evenings and one on Thursday mornings, with childcare available on Thursdays.

Find details and RSVP in the At Polaris section of the Polaris app.

A new school year should begin with kids feeling supported and ready.

This Sunday, the H2O Foundation is hosting its annual back-to-school event for Brunswick families who could use some extra help. Polaris has been asked to provide individually packaged after-school snacks—and because we learned about the need late, we have only a few days to respond.

You can help by donating individual bags of chips, microwaveable mac-and-cheese cups, Pop-Tarts, protein or snack bars, and other individually packaged snacks.

Drop donations under the Polaris awning Thursday through Saturday, or bring them to church Sunday morning. All donations must arrive by Sunday morning so they can be delivered to the August 2 event.

This is a simple opportunity to do something about something for kids right here in Brunswick.

Chuck and Kristy Baddley were ordinary people at Polaris who saw children and families living in profound poverty in a Costa Rican shantytown—and felt God calling them to do something about it.

They left their American life behind and started Love Pure. Today, they help provide nutrition, education, mentoring, and the love of Jesus to children facing enormous obstacles.

Their story reflects something we believe deeply at Polaris: everyone was made to do great things for God. That does not always mean knowing the whole plan. Sometimes it begins by noticing one need and faithfully doing something about something.

This Sunday, Chuck and Kristy will share an update about Love Pure and its especially challenging season. We’re grateful to stand behind them as their Polaris family.
