Forest Floor Compost started with a simple idea:

What if the food scraps we throw away every day could become something valuable instead?

Today, we collect food scraps from homes and businesses, keep those resources out of the waste stream, turn them into compost, and put those nutrients back into our community.

But we know we can do so much more.

We've built Forest Floor through farmers markets, word of mouth, community support, and a lot of hard work. Now we're asking our community to help us take the next step.

We're raising funds to help us reach more people, grow our collection service, expand our impact, and build a stronger local system for recovering organic resources.

Summer and watermelon go hand in hand. But have you ever stopped to think about what happens after the last slice is eaten?
