Jesus' words in John 14:23 remind us that obedience is not merely a duty—it is the beginning of a relationship.
Obedience is the first step of faith. It is the way we respond to God's invitation before we fully understand all that He provides us.

Obedience opens the door to deeper fellowship with God. And every step of obedience is a step toward greater communion with the One who longs to dwell within us.

Join us for Summer Oasis this Sunday, 6/21, at 4:30 PM for open gym, table games and fellowship. Our devotional will begin at 5:15 PM. Our specialty drink will be snow cones.

Being a follower of Jesus is not easy. He called us to live differently. He asked that we give up self. He requires faith in a world that will bring trouble.

But all throughout His life, he offered us solutions. He gives us examples of how to live our daily lives. He teaches us to pray. He uses scripture to defend against temptation. He shows us how to love others and to rely on our community.

Start a Gospel and simply ask, Lord, show me who You are." . Follow Jesus.

What are you holding on to? What are you trying to control? What is controlling your time?

The command to "be still, and know" is far more than an invitation to be quiet. It is a calling. It is an acknowledgement that we must stop.

We must stop holding on to earthly things. We must stop striving for a name on earth. We must cease and realize that the things of this world will all pass away and that God is eternal.

Pursue the things that lead you to God.

"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10
