There are many joys associated with being a pastor. One in particular is when you disciple and help develop someone with a call of God on their life, and are able to bless and help launch them into ministry. For Donna and I, to be a spiritual father and mother is an incredible honor. Robert and Hannah Smith served with us for many years. They worked in various capacities in our local church and have been in several different areas of Mexico with us as well. There were times in Mexico when it wasn’t pretty or comfortable. When it was kinda dangerous. (Kinda?!) They were always troopers! They led medical outreaches where we helped meet medical needs in areas where there were no doctors. Most of those areas have strong pockets of real darkness. They’ve cast out demons. They have also been there when we’ve seen incredible and almost unbelievable supernatural miracles. Blinded eyes literally opened. Lame walk. And one notable miracle in Playa Baghdad where a huge cancer protruding from a lady’s abdomen just disappeared right in front of our eyes. That event sparked a move of God and we wound up planting a church in that little town where there was no church. We (Donna and I and Josh) also went to Haiti with them as well. While there we saw at least five people that were blind totally healed. Not to mention a host of other supernatural miracles. Thousands of Haitians professed Christ during those services.
A few years ago they transitioned to Ft. Worth, and started their ministry there. Winning folks to Christ. This past Sunday they brought some that they’ve won and shared in our Sunday service at Church here in Brownwood. Here’s the video.
Donna and I are very blessed to be able to say that we had a small part in the Smith’s lives all these years. We love y’all.
