🐾🙏 Blessing of Pets in Honor of St. Francis of Assisi! 🐶🐱🐾

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all our parishioners who brought their beloved pets to receive a special blessing today in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and ecology.

It was a beautiful opportunity to celebrate God’s creation and give thanks for the joy, companionship, and unconditional love that our pets bring into our lives. ❤️

St. Francis reminds us that all creation is a gift from God, entrusted to our care and protection.

May the Lord bless our pets, keep them healthy and safe, and help us always be responsible and loving caretakers of His creation.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us! 🙏🐾

🇲🇽 ¡Bendición de Mascotas en Honor a San Francisco de Asís! 🐶🐱🐾

🙏🌹 Thank You for Your Beautiful Witness of Faith! 🌹🙏

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful ladies and gentlemen of our parish who faithfully gather outside Burns Elementary School to pray the Holy Rosary in honor of Our Lady of Fatima. 💙

Your dedication to prayer and your public witness of faith are a beautiful reminder of the power of the Rosary and the importance of bringing Christ’s love and peace into our community.

Through your prayers, you are planting seeds of faith, hope, and love in the hearts of many. May our Blessed Mother continue to intercede for you, your families, our children, and our entire community.

Thank you for not being afraid to publicly witness your Catholic faith! May your example inspire others to turn to prayer and grow closer to Jesus through Mary.

🌹 Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us! 🙏

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of War announced that the firing squad ex*****on of Nidal Hasan, the man convicted of killing 13 people and injuring 32 at Fort Hood, Texas in 2009, would be publicly livestreamed. Archbishop Paul S. Coakley, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops issued the following statement sharply condemning the decision of the U.S. government:

“It is with shock and great sorrow that I have learned of the Department of War’s decision to publicly livestream the ex*****on of Nidal Hasan. Our God is the God of life. In no way can Hassan’s actions be condoned but this decision is a barbaric promotion of a culture of death and must be reconsidered. The word of God exhorts us: ‘do not repay anyone evil for evil' (Romans 12:17). The public ex*****on even of one who has done grave harm will only further undermine the moral fabric of our nation and be a blight on the conscience of its people.

“I pray for the intercession of Our Lady of Good Counsel that we as a nation may always choose life even in the most trying times and circumstances.”
