Another prayer request. I have a pastor friend in Boise who will soon be transitioning to Heaven. His name is Ben. His wife's name is Melodie. So, would you please pray for Ben, Melodie, their family and congregation as Ben will soon be in the arms of Jesus.

Report on Brie. She is back in the hospital for two days. They suspect an infection. Will keep you posted. M

Brie is 5 days post opperation. Her kidney function is at 51%, up from 11%. Her blood pressure is a little high but is being controlled by medication. Her energy is up and there is color in her skin. M

OPPORTUNITIES FOR MISSION TEAMS

Lost and Found offers Work and Witness opportunities where teams can come to work with our house church or in a colonia. A colonia is a very poor trailer court. The poverty here is on par with Applica or the Mississippi River Delta. The colonias are safe to bring folks of any age in to hold a VBS.

The second type of mission trip is a Border Immersion Experience. After I present a short orientation and we speak with an immigration attorney, we will work with asylum seekers on this side of the river. We will work and serve at a respite center, a shelter, and a welcoming center. We will tour the "wall". This opportunity is also very safe.

The third opportunity is only available if it is safe enough to cross into Mexico. Options for a trip into Mexico include visiting a medical center, some shelters, and refugee camps. Medical folks are most welcome.

Most of the time, some elements from all of these opportunities are combined depending on the team's interests and abilities.

We are thirty minutes from STARBASE and thirty minutes from South Padre Island. Sometimes, teams like to see the Starships or go to the beach to decompress.
