Deacon Roberto Cano The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is the Cathedral Church for the Diocese of Brownsville. Built in 1859 the Cathedral is the oldest church in the Diocese of Brownsville at over 160 years old. The Cathedral serves all the Faithful of the Rio Grande Valley. On average the Cathedral has over 100,000 visitors per year! Join us for Mass, Holy Hour, Prayer, or just a look around! There are no strangers at the Cathedral, only friends we have yet to meet!

Yesterday, Archbishop Paul Coakley, USCCB president, and Bishop Daniel Flores, USCCB vice president, met with Pope Leo XIV. They were joined by Msgr. Michael J.K. Fuller, USCCB general secretary, and Father Paul Hartmann, Associate General Secretary. Their meeting was part of the Conference’s annual visit made to the Curia offices. The USCCB is grateful for the opportunities that our bishops have to spend time with our Holy Father and assure him of our support and prayers, while also updating him on the Church in the United States.

The Immaculate Conception Young Adult Group invites you.
“You are the ‘now’ of God.” — Pope Francis, Christus Vivit
We are a group of young adults (18+) seeking to grow in faith through fellowship and service.
When: Every other Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Where: Immaculate Conception Cathedral Gym
What we do: diocesan young adult events, parish and community events, Saints and Sips (faith-building outdoors), young adult Holy Hour, guest speakers on faith topics, and more.
Why we do this: to know, love, and show Christ. How we do this: by God’s will.
