On September 12, 2021 at 11 am there will be a Parish Homecoming and Memorial Service consisting of the South Brownsville United Methodist Church and the West Bend United Methodist Church at the West Bend United Methodist Church at East Millsboro, PA. It will be the 237th anniversary of the West Bend United Methodist Church's organization. There will be a covered dish dinner following the service.

OLD RUGGED CROSS
​This "Old Rugged Cross" stands in front of the South Brownsville United Methodist Church, 412 Second Street, Brownsville, PA.

During Holy Week it is draped with purple from Palm Sunday Through Maundy Thursday, the purple stands for the royalty of Jesus Christ;

On Good Friday the cross is crowned with thorns and a black drape symbolizing Jesus' suffering and shame on the cross during His crucifixion;

On Easter Sunday morning the cross is draped with white and white lilies declaring "Christ is Risen!"
