Akuch, Deborah, and John were orphaned by the death of their father during civil war and the death of their mother later to illness. They are in the care of their grandmother and aunt, Angeth, in Kenya. Angeth is a young widow with two children, Ayen and Agotich. Sudan Rebirth Ministry provides full scholarships for these 5 cousins in a boarding school in Kenya, where they are able to stay close together, preserving family ties. The boarding school provides them with a good education, career training, nutrition, safe shelter, and life enrichment. As each cousin completes Secondary school, SRM anticipates providing for their university educations.
How you can help!
Bring hope to the students of South Sudan by sponsoring a student's education!
For the past 13 years, Sudan Rebirth Ministry has worked to expand access to education in the world’s newest nation, where many families cannot afford to send their children to school. We help students reach their potential by providing educational scholarships to South Sudanese students, from primary grades to graduate school. Your support of Sudan Rebirth Ministry will ensure that more students can thrive and become leaders, such as teachers, nurses, engineers and business people, to create a future that helps their communities.
We are a small, Lancaster, PA-based non-profit, founded by a former “Lost Boy of Sudan.” YOUR past support has made a life-changing difference for dozens of South Sudanese students…from an 8-year old orphan first entering school to a young woman pursuing her dream of becoming an OB-GYN.
Will you help us do the EXTRAORDINARY and support Sudan Rebirth Ministry by donating through EXTRAGIVE.org on November 18th? Last year over $8,300 was raised and with your help, our $12,000 goal can help more students.
