PAPA's Ministries has had the honor this past week of hosting Rev. Butch Huffman and his "ByDaSea Ministries" team from North Carolina. We are grateful for those who raised the Hurricane Relief funds so we could provide shelter for two familes in Lennox Big Woods,Westmoreland, Jamaica. Rev. Arthur Smith of Highgate, St. Mary led the projects.

A couple of new bits of news:
1) Our Student from the Maritime University in Port Royal finished up her sophomore year and this summer has reported for duty in Rhode Island. She is working through the work and travel program. 2) A couple of months ago, PAPA's received a note from Rev. Gelin Rosamour Superintending Pastor of the LaGonave and Cayes Circuits in Haiti seeking support for a Local Pastor's Gathering. There are 37 churches between the two circuits. The nearly 100 local Pastors do much of the heavy lifting so it is important to equip them for the work. The Gathering included Training, materials, colleagueship and transportation to and from the island of La Gonave.
PAPA's was able to assist with funds for Logistics and administration. Attached are some pics that Rev. Rosamour sent our way.
What a blessing to have these folks safely gather for a retreat and get back to ministry. Thank you all for your support.

I apologize for the delay in posting this but Thank you to the generous Friends of PAPA's Ministries. We are accomplishing good things in Jamaica. In March, Merlin, Bubba (Brenton Belnavis), Arthur Smith and some of his friends from Highgate built a new small house for a young man in Lennox Big Woods, Westmoreland home whose was destroyed by Hurricane Melissa. His mother did not survive when the house collapsed. We had a good local Supplier of Building Materials which facilitated our work. I have attached some pictures of the crew and small house.

March 11-18, Merlin, along with Arthur Smith and Crew will be building a small house in a place called Darliston, Lennox Big Woods in eastern Westmoreland. It is in the direct line where Hurricane Melissa passed over Jamaica.

The Big Woods no longer exists and with that, many homes were destroyed. This house won't be a big one nor a permanent residence but allows the homeowner to move out from under her blue tarp and have a roof over her head until a more permanent structure can be built up around it.

Carol and many, many more like her, hope that you don't forget about the needs in Jamaica even as the News outlets have moved on to other issues.

PAPA's has another team headed down in July to assist in the recovery of Western Jamaica. Please keep us all in mind as we work to help alleviate some of the stress one person, family at a time.

Hi Friends, Hurricane Melissa update: after a couple of delays due to material shortages Arthur Smith's Roof Guys got the new roof on Bev Condappa's Clonmel Basic School. We are grateful. Here are a few clips. PAPA'S Ministries and Miss Condappa are grateful for your financial support that enabled this to happen.
