Today's Sermon: Your Problem Is Your Pedigree
John 1:12 To all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God.
In society, people are often measured by their "pedigree" or background. Who are they related to? What school did they attend? What career do they hold?
For some of us, our heritage is a source of pride. But for others, it's a reminder of painful memories or a lineage we're not proud of.
Jesus was born into the lineage of King David but lived as a carpenter's son. He was expected to behave a certain way, to fulfill certain roles, yet He broke those molds, fulfilling God's purpose in His life on earth.
If you allow your pedigree to dictate your potential, you limit what God can do in you and through you. In the family of God, it's not about where you came from, it's about who you're becoming.
Allow the divine identity of Christ to swallow up all earthly reputations, whether accolades or condemnations. Amen.

Sermon today: God Rides on the Water - Habakkuk 3:15 You trampled the sea with your horses, churning the great waters.
The waters of uncertainty, of doubt, of fear, can be parted by God's hand, turning a storm into a story of God making a way where there is no way. No matter what we face, God can bring order out of chaos, power over the storm, faith in the midst of fear, and peace in the grip of uncertainty.
Jesus says, “Follow my example... Do all you can, while you can; and don’t be distracted by anything, whether charitable or political, these are not “Mission One” - Be a Christian first!
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. Say yes, and what next; He’ll take it from there. Amen.

The Holy Spirit consoles, but Christ is the consolation. The Holy Spirit is the Physician, but Jesus is the medicine. He heals our wounds by applying the ointment of Christ's name and grace.
The Greek name for the Holy Spirit is Paraclete; the Greek name for Jesus is Paraclesis. One is the Comforter, the other is the Comfort.
