Good morning Church Family
As many of you may have heard, tensions in the Middle East have recently increased following military actions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. I told Tyler and Rusty the other day it would be between 36-48 hours when we would see bombshell hitting certain targets in Iran. I was wrong... it was 28 hours.
While leaders and governments continue to respond and make decisions in these complex circumstances, our hearts are especially mindful of the people in the region who are living through uncertainty and fear.
In moments like this, our calling as believers is not to react in anxiety, but to respond in prayer. We pray for peace, for wisdom for those in leadership, and for protection over innocent families and communities affected by conflict. Above all, we trust that God remains sovereign, compassionate, and near to those who are troubled.
Let us be a people who seek the Lord and stand as peacemakers in a world that deeply needs His grace.
As Christians, we are called first to be peacemakers and intercessors. This conflict brings real suffering to families and communities far from our own, and it reminds us of Jesus’ prayer for peace:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9
Let’s pray for:
The safety and protection of all civilians, especially families caught in the crossfire.
Wisdom and restraint for world leaders, that diplomatic and peaceful options be pursued urgently.
Comfort and hope for those living in fear, that they might feel the presence of our Lord in a time of uncertainty.
God’s guidance for the Church worldwide, that we might be voices of mercy, compassion, and reconciliation.
May our hearts turn toward prayer and action that reflects Christ’s love in a troubled world.
Love y’all
