So, hey there and Good Morning! I am just blown away, to be honest. It seems, that Cutthroat Tattoo won Third Place in the 2024 Times of Acadiana for Best Place to get a Tattoo! Now, I am particularly blown away by this achievement for at least two reasons!

1) I did not even post about it one single time, I never asked one single person to vote for Cutthroat Tattoo.

2) Cutthroat Tattoo has been closed down permanently, like for 9 months or 10 months now.

So, this means, that the great reputation that we had at Cutthroat Tattoo, was so good, that even after being closed down for almost a year, we still got votes, enough to make 3rd Place!

So, now, first, I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH, I LOVE ALL YOU PEEPS SO MUCH!

Second, I want to ask you all to go and follow the page for The Hidden Gem Art Gallery and Tattoos . All the same 4 artists that were at Cutthroat Tattoo, are now all over here at The Gem. We moved and made some changes, name change, location change, few other changes, but, its still the same four artists.

All ya have to do is go to The Hidden Gem page, and like it, then, while you are there, ya see those three little black dots on the right side? Click on that, scroll down to where it says """INVITE FRIENDS""" and invite everyone on your friends list to go and like the page. Man o man, I cant tell you how much something like this can help a small business. It cost you nothing, only a few seconds of your time!

Friends. I have news for you all. I hope you will all be happy, and help me by sharing this post too.

Cutthroat Tattoo opened in 2012. After a couple years, it was sold to me. I have been there for 12 years. BUT just like a lot of other businesses, of all kinds, it has gotten harder to remain competitive and still keep the doors open. Those of you that have ever ran a small business, will understand.

So, it is bittersweet for me. It is with a sad heart that I have to announce that Cutthroat Tattoo has closed after 12 years.

HOWEVER!!! IT IS WITH A HAPPY HEART AND A POSITIVE MINDSET that I am pleased to announce the newest variation of myself! I am now tattooing at Lafayette's newest tattoo shop!

If you turn on Ridge Road, off of Ambassador Caffery, it's not far. You will see WCC Furniture on the left, and just across the street on the right, is Ridge Row Shopping Center (It's where Bayou Art Co-op is for those of you that are familiar, and there are lots of little businesses in here too)

This new shop will be a legit Art Gallery, and Private Tattoo Studio, meaning, part of the shop will be a for real Art Gallery, and all the tattooing will take place in completely private, individual rooms, not just an open-air booth out in the open, but a private room.

I am so excited to make a move, and I look forward to the endless possibilities that await me in this new adventure.

Hey friends! Who on my friends list fishes for crawfish in the basin for a living? Professional crawfishermen. I have question. I have 25 traps, just messing around hoping to catch a few pounds. Definitely NOT trying to do this on a commercial scale. So, put my 25 traps out on Mardi Gras day, baited with Shad. Ran them Sunday. Out of 25 traps, caught one crawfish, LOL!! BUT, caught an eel in almost every trap, some had none, some had two eels!! Whats up with all the dang eels?
