We are thrilled to share that 13 of our Jericho Road staff members have completed Trauma-Focused CBT training.

Our staff has gained a deeper understanding of how trauma can be at the root of many challenges faced by our residents, including the behaviors that tend to isolate them from family, friends, and social support.

Providing our team with evidence-based training emphasizes the significance of nurturing a safe environment, cultivating trust, and supporting our residents at their own pace throughout their recovery journey.

Thank you to Love IV Lawrence for your continuous support of our mission and for allowing us the opportunity to complete this training. 🩡

September is National Recovery Month, a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support individuals struggling with mental health and addiction. It is also an opportunity to celebrate those in recovery and learn about their stories.

When someone moves from living in shame to being truly known, it can break the cycles of isolation and addiction and provide the support needed to restore one’s life. Thank you for being part of a community that supports our neighbors in recovery and recognizes that every story matters. πŸ’œ

Almost 70% of individuals seeking treatment for substance use report that loneliness is a serious problem in their lives, according to reports from Chess Health. Shame and isolation can lead to increased dependence on substances, and the cycle continues.

But that does not have to be where the journey ends. God gives hope and second chances, which can bring someone from darkness into light, and from isolation into community. When someone is truly seen, heard, and known, the door opens to new life free from addiction and shame.
