There will be a burial requiem for Leon "Lee" Wittig this Saturday at 2:00 p.m. We at St John's will miss him, but find comfort knowing that he has joined our Father in His heavenly kingdom.

The word “Episcopal” is more than just a denominational name. It traces back to the Greek word episkopos, meaning “overseer,” which is where we get the word “bishop.”
That’s why bishops are such an important part of Episcopal identity. The name itself points to a church tradition shaped by historic leadership, oversight, and shared governance.
In other words, “Episcopal” doesn’t just tell you what the Church is called. It tells you how the Church is structured.
