Brooksville Christian Church, Brooksville, KY

Brooksville Christian Church, Brooksville, KY We are a body of believers in Jesus who are learning to love like Him. Our goal is to be more like Jesus.

What a great day it was yesterday as we witnessed Sadie Cook's baptism by her father, Jeff Wipfel. "Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." (Romans 6:3-4)

You don't need to argue with the darkness around you to make a difference. You just have to shine. When you choose kindness, honesty, and forgiveness in ordinary moments, you show people what God is really like. Where is one place you can shine a little lighter this week—at work, at home, or in your neighborhood?

There’s a reason Jesus kept showing up at tables — meals bring people together.

Next Sunday, August 16, at 1:20 PM, we’re gathering at Mason County Recreation Park in the DeKalb shelter for our church picnic.

We’ll bring the fried chicken. You bring a side dish or two. Together, we’ll make the kind of meal that feels like home.

Save this post so you don’t forget the time and place.

Believers have been given a brand‑new wardrobe in Christ—so why do we keep reaching for the old clothes? In this message from Sunday, August 2, 2026, we talk about letting go of the attitudes that no longer fit and embracing the new life God has already prepared for us.

Scripture says believers have “put on the new self,” yet many of us...

Some folks treat church like a doctor’s waiting room — a bunch of people sitting quietly, disconnected, just waiting for their name to be called. But church was never meant to feel sterile or silent. It’s meant to feel like Sunday dinner at Grandma’s table — where stories are shared, laughter is loud, and everyone brings something to the meal. Because in God’s family, nobody just sits and waits. Everyone has a part to play, a seat at the table, and a contribution that makes the whole place feel like home.

We thank everyone who took part in the all night prayer vigil whether here or at home. It was wonderful to see people from so many different churches coming together to lift up Raylen and others as well as our churches before the Lord. We are exited to see how our Father works through these prayers. God IS good.

Tonight, we refuse to stay silent.

Tonight we gather—not because everything is falling apart, but because we believe God is still on His throne.

We'll spend the night praying for Raylen Poe as he battles cancer, lifting up every church in Bracken County, asking God to bless our nation, and believing He can do more than we can imagine.

Come for an hour. Stay all night. Every prayer offered in faith matters.

Invite one person to come with you tonight. Sometimes courage starts with a simple invitation.

The church was never meant to sleep through the battle.

While much of the world is winding down Friday night, we'll be gathering to seek the heart of God.

Hour after hour, we'll pray for healing, for revival, for unity among our local churches, and for God to work powerfully throughout our community.

Whether you stay for thirty minutes or the entire twelve hours, your prayers matter. God has always worked through people willing to seek Him together.

Will we see you Friday night? Tell us what time you plan to come.
