We Need Each Other
"And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day
approaching. "Hebrews 10:24-25 We are living in challenging times, to say the least. The pressures of life seem to increase with each passing year. Families face difficulties, people battle loneliness, health concerns arise, and many carry burdens that are unseen by those around them. As I grow older, I can honestly say that I am becoming more thankful for and increasingly reliant upon the Body of Christ. God never intended for us to walk this journey alone. The church is more than a building or a place we attend on Sundays. It is a family of believers who are called to encourage, strengthen, pray for, and care for one another. What a blessing it is that at Brookside COG, we have each other, and the many friends connected to this church family. The enemy would like nothing more than to isolate us, but God calls us to fellowship. Every gathering, every conversation, every prayer offered together has the potential to bring encouragement and healing to someone's heart. When we come together, we are reminded that we are not alone in our struggles and that Christ is faithfully working through His people. I encourage you to make every effort to avail yourself of the many opportunities to gather with the body at Brookside COG. Join a service, attend a Bible study, participate in fellowship events, and be intentional about building relationships with fellow believers. These connections are not just beneficial; they are essential. At the same time, allow God to touch others through your life. A simple act of kindness can become a powerful ministry. Invite someone to lunch. Make a phone call. Send a card of encouragement. Study God's Word with someone who needs spiritual support. Visit a shut-in or someone in the hospital. Offer help to a struggling mother who needs an extra hand with her children. These acts may seem small, but in God's hands
they become expressions of His love and grace. The Body of Christ is strongest when every member is willing to serve, care, and love. Let us look beyond ourselves and ask God to show us someone who needs encouragement today. You may be the very answer to a
prayer that person has been praying.
