Life doesn’t always go the way we planned. Circumstances change. Plans fall apart. And sometimes the future feels anything but certain. But what if joy doesn’t depend on everything going right?

This Sunday, we begin a new four-week sermon series, “Whatever Happens: Finding Joy in an Uncertain World,” based on Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Paul wrote Philippians from prison, with his freedom limited and his future uncertain. And yet his words are filled with remarkable joy, hope, and confidence in Christ.

Over the next four weeks, we’ll discover how we can recognize God at work even in difficult circumstances, live with the mind of Christ, press forward in faith, and find strength and contentment in Him.
Whatever happens, God is not finished with us yet.
We hope you’ll join us!

A big Brooks UMC thank you is extended to Mr. Ted Reissing for sharing about cranes from around the world during our Wild Faith event! We had fun learning about these fascinating birds that are a part of God's creation! We also tried our hand at making oragami cranes!

Join us this Sunday afternoon, Sept 20th, as we relaunch our Wild Faith events celebrating the beauty and wonder of God’s creation! Experienced birder, Ted Reissing, will share a slide presentation featuring cranes he has photographed during his travels around the world. Following the presentation, we will be making origami paper cranes inspired by the story of Sadako Sasaki and invite you to gift one to someone as little reminders of God’s hope and peace. All ages are welcome! And don’t worry if origami isn’t your thing! You are more than welcome to simply come, enjoy Ted’s presentation, and learn with us. Folding cranes is completely optional! Snacks will be provided!

A big thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who came out to serve at our Hope Harvest Food Pantry today! Your willing hands and caring hearts help us share more than food with our neighbors. They help us share hope, kindness, and the love of Christ.

"Truth isn’t something we care about only when we’re trying to win an argument. For followers of Jesus, truth is part of our discipleship."
