The Church of the Virgin Mary is an Eastern Rite Catholic parish of the Melkite Catholic Eparchy of Newton. Our rich liturgical tradition is experienced in the Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom, community prayer, the celebration of the sacraments, and immersion in the mystical experience of Byzantine iconic art that adorns our church. We are a parish family of diverse backgrounds founded ove

r 125 years ago by early immigrants of the Melkite tradition and are deeply rooted in the Brooklyn community. We welcome you to our page and invite you to join us for Divine Liturgy Sundays at 11:00 am and at our coffee hour following immediately in our Parish Hall.

Where do you begin? His entire life was dedicated to the mission of the Messiah and service to His church. Papa Francesco returned to our Father's house one year ago yesterday, April 20, 2025. Last evening, on the first anniversary of his departure, we celebrated the Divine Liturgy in an atmosphere of solemnity and recollection with his glorification our intention and petition. May his memory be eternal and may he be numbered among the saints.
