WHERE TO FIND REAL SATISFACTION

Our entire economy depends on ministering to our dissatisfaction.

Buy this. Watch this. Smoke this. It's constant marketing aimed at the tired and the restless: don't you need relief? Aren't you tired?

But relief and satisfaction aren't the same thing.

Relief wears off and sends us back for more, but satisfaction lasts.

In Psalm 16:11 says, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy." There's joy in other places, but fullness of joy is found only in Him.

Real lasting pleasure and lasting satisfaction is the thing we've been looking for.

And you'll only find it in God.

STOP COMPARING YOUR CROSS TO SOMEONE ELSE'S CROWN

Every one of us will receive a variety of achievements and blessings in this life.

Even the breath in our lungs right now is a tremendous blessing.

Somewhere along the way, there will be a crowning achievement. It could be family, it could be friends, it could be a job, a title, a platform no one else has, or a unique situation God puts us in.

All of us will have some kind of crowning achievement, because God is good and He loves us.

But there is no crossless Christian. If we're following Jesus, we're going to have a cross to bear.

And it's our temptation, when we start hearing the details of our own cross, to look over at someone else.

We say, what about them?

The problem with comparison is that we compare our cross to somebody else's crown.
