Labor Day is more than the unofficial end of summer. It’s also an opportunity to remember the dignity of work and the people who have fought for fair and just working conditions.

This Labor Day, take a few minutes to learn more about the 1908 Social Creed and the ways Methodists have historically supported workers and labor justice.

Welcome back to church! 💚 Today we began our new sermon series, “Rooted in Christ: Love Boldly,” based on Ephesians and grounded in our baptismal vows.

We blessed our children & administrators as they prepare to return to the classroom, lifting them in prayer for a year filled with wisdom, courage & grace.

As a reminder of what growth looks like, each worshipper received a succulent to take home. Just as plants need care, nourishment, and deep roots to grow, so do we as we continue to grow in Christ and love boldly.

May we remain rooted, keep growing, and share God’s love wherever we are planted.

Welcome Back Sunday at Heart of Life UMC!

Summer is wrapping up, and it’s time to come back together! Join us for a special morning of worship, fellowship, and celebration as we launch our new sermon series, “Rooted in Christ: Love Boldly” (Ephesians 3–6).

We will also have a special time of prayer for all students, teachers, and school administrators heading into the new academic year.

Whether you’ve been away for travel or just needed a break, there is a seat at the table for you. Bring your family, bring a friend, and bring an expectant heart!

Heart of Life has a new sound system! This much-needed investment in our worship and ministry has been made possible by everyone who helped. THANK YOU to everyone who gave sacrificially, contributed time & believed that this was something worth investing in. Some of our investors included guests, so if you're one of them, we are grateful.

We’re excited about what this means for worship at Heart of Life—clearer sound, better support for our musicians and worship leaders, and a better experience for everyone gathered together.

Mission & Vision Sunday: Yesterday we took time to look honestly at who we are & where God is calling Heart of Life next. We talked about “believing, belonging, and becoming.”
We walked through the building & prayed for our ministries.

We ended our day by preparing sandwiches & care bags for our neighbors, because mission isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we do. There is still work to do, but we’re rebuilding.
