Father, thank You for the prophets and apostles who faithfully carried Your revelation and kept Jesus at the center. Help me to build my life on the foundation they laid. Let Your Word have final authority in all I believe about Your Son and His death for me.

REFLECTION:
When you consider that your Creator died on the cross for you, what does it tell you about God's love?

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for Jesus, the Prophet foretold by Moses and the One all the prophets pointed to. Help me to hear Him above every other voice. As I dwell on the truth that my Creator died for my sins, let the reality of Your love take deeper hold of my heart.

Father, thank You for choosing imperfect, willing people to serve You. Take my fears, my weaknesses, and even the parts of my story I am ashamed of, and use them for Your glory. Make Your strength perfect in my weakness, and give me a willing heart.

REFLECTION:
Where have you been tempted to follow the popular voice rather than test it against God's Word?

PRAYER:
Father, thank You that You have not left me to be deceived but have given me Your Word to test every voice. Guard me from mistaking my own desires or the crowd's approval for Your leading. Give me a heart set on Your truth and courage to stand on it.

Where has the desire to be like everyone around you pulled you away from God's best?

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for the prophets who faithfully guided Your people and spoke Your truth to those in power. Free me from the pull to simply be like the world around me. Make me a person of prayer and Your Word, set apart for faithful service to You.

Father, thank You for using frail people like Elijah and like me. When I sink into discouragement and feel that I have failed, meet me with the tenderness You showed Your prophet. Restore my strength and remind me that You still have a work for me to do.

When discouragement has worn you down like Elijah, how has God met you in the quiet?

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for speaking to Your people through the prophets and for meeting them in their weakness. Teach me to trust both You and the messages You send. When I am worn down by fear, quiet my heart to hear Your gentle voice.
