We talked about a provocative truth: God wants you to be heart broken—not destroyed, but broken in the right way. He wants to break our hearts free from pride, self-rule, and deception so they can finally be surrendered and responsive to Him. From Proverbs 23:26 we saw God’s invitation, “My son, give Me your heart,” and we learned how confession, the Word, and the Holy Spirit work together to dethrone a deceptive heart and place Jesus back in charge on the inside.

A hard heart stops responding to truth, stops being moved by God’s presence, and starts calling resistance “strength.” But from Ezekiel 36 we learned that God doesn’t just polish a stony heart; He removes it and gives us a new heart and a new spirit.

This Sunday we launched our new series with Part 1: “The Heart Will Lie to You.” We learned from Jeremiah 17 and Proverbs 4 that the heart is not a neutral guide—it can deceive us, justify compromise, and quietly lead us away from God if it’s left unchecked. Instead of “following your heart,” Scripture calls us to trust the Lord with all our heart and guard it, because everything in life flows from it.

This week in our Untraceable teaching series, we shared Part 2: “When You Can’t Explain Him.” We walked with Job and through scriptures like Isaiah 55 to see that there will be seasons when you cannot trace God’s methods, timing, or reasons—but you can still trust His heart. Faith is not having all the answers; faith is choosing to trust the God whose ways are higher than ours.
