Good evening Friendship Baptist Church Family and Friends. Today, our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Craig B. Gaddy, Sr. ushered in his 28th year with a study of prayer in his sermon "It's Not In WhatcYou See, It's In the Stillness" (Mark 11:12-19). As he guided us through the lesson starting with the fig tree that bore leaves but no fruit, he dicussed what people see and if it relates to what we are. He posed the question: "When they come to Friendship, will they see leaves or will they see fruit?" He reminded us to look for the fruit, consider what God has done and BE STILL.

Join us for our Third Sunday Worship Experience when we are lead and directed by the young people of Friendship Baptist Church. Our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Craig B. On behalf of our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Craig B. Gaddy, Sr., it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sis. Beverly Mapp, wife of Elder James Mapp and former member of the Pastor's Aide.

Sis. Mapp went home to the Lord in the overnight hours of Tuesday October 13, 2026.

Final arrangements will be announced shortly.

A HALLELUJAH TIME WAS HAD!

Good afternoon, Friendship Baptist Church Family and Friends! To God be the Glory for all He has done including the 27 years of Pastoral Service of our beloved Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Craig B. Gaddy, Sr.

Yesterday, despite the threat of yet another storm, we gathered in good numbers to celebrate our Senior Pastor's 27th Anniversary of Pastoral Service.

Our Guest Preacher, Rev.Dr. Larry Covington of the Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Burlington NC, preached a message that only a true friend could have delivered: "Encouragement in Light of What is to Come" (1 Corinthians 15:58, ESV). Dr. Covington spoke to the state of the Black church in this moment and cited "shutting down, selling out and shutting up". He told us that passion moves you and to stay passionate about the work. He counseled us to be precise-its the Lord’s work and he reminded our Pastor and all of us that with our labor, there is a PAYDAY!
