Good evening Friendship Baptist Church Family and Friends. Yesterday we celebrated Heritage Sunday with a sermon from Rev. Dr. Duane M. Sleet Sr., Pastor if the First Baptist Church, Far Rockaway. Dr. Sleet was introduced to the assembled as someone that met our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Craig B Gaddy, Sr. by being a friend in need. In his sermon, "Great Praise for a Great God"(1 Chronicles 16: 20-25, KJV), 7pm, Dr. Sleet, God is to be praised intensely because He has blessed us intensely!

On behalf of our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Craig B. Gaddy, Sr., Rev. Sheila Glenn, Assistant Pastor, the Joint Board and Auxiliaries of the Friendship Baptist Church, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alonza "Al" Gaddy, uncle of of our Pastor.

Bro. Gaddy went home to the Lord on May 25, 2026.

We welcome you to join us tomorrow for our Heritage Sunday Worship Experience. On Heritage Sunday, we go back to the traditions of the Ancestors to enter His courts with thanksgiving and ALWAYS giving giving God the Glory, the Honor and the Praise. We call on these traditions in this season to give us strength bolster our faith.

Good evening Friendship Baptist Church Family and Friends.

Despite it bring a "holiday weekend", a good number of us pressed through the pouring rain today to celebrate Pentecost Sunday; the birth of the church. For our efforts, we received blessing after blessing in Devotion, in prayer and music and Scripture lesson. One of our newest youth members, Miss Skylar Sagon shared her gifts as a musician and a singer! She was followed by our beloved SSL Community Choir.

God used them all to prepare us for a powerful sermon from our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Craig B. Gaddy, Sr., " Pentecost Simplified" (Acts 2:1-8, 12 13). Pastor electrified the congregation with an exploration of what actually happened in the Old Testament to bring us to the Pentecost and instructing us: "If you want to be a blessing to God, work together!" THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY GHOST WILL NOT BE DENIED!
