DIOCESAN COOPERATIVE MISSION APPEAL - THIS WEEKEND
This weekend Father Dwayne Davis from Saint Thomas Aquinas will be preaching at all the masses for the Catholic Extension Society - this is a national nonprofit organization in the United States that builds and strengthens poor, under-resourced Catholic faith communities, known as "mission dioceses."

There will be a second collection taken up, please be as generous as your means permit.

CELEBRANTING 100 YEARS!
Many parishioners remember the 75th Anniversary celebrations and we are planning a similar year of events and opportunities to grow closer to God. October 24th will be a special celebration with Mass followed by dinner, currently finalizing place for the celebartory dinner. Mark your calendars now, more information to follow. Bishop Brennan is asking the faithful in the Diocese of Brooklyn to support our brothers and sisters in need in Columbia following the devastating 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck that country on August 10th.

There will be a second collection taken up in the parish this weekend and all monies collected will be sent by the diocese to Catholic Relief Services, for distribution and direct assistance with shelter, food and other humanitarian aid to the affected in Columbia. Please be as generous as your means permit.

Please be advised that electronic gate on the Batchelder Street parking lot has malfunctioned and it is not able to be opened. Please use the parking lot on Brown Street behind the Convent. Please refrain from parking in front of the garages on Brown Street.

Please note that the Parish Office of Good Shepherd-Resurrection will be closed on Friday, July3 and Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

VOLUNTARY SECOND COLLECTION
July 4-July 5
Bishop Brennan has approved a 2nd Collection in all parishes within the Diocese o Brooklyn. "Know that we stand in solidarity with the people of Venezuela who have been devastated by two earthquakes that struck within moments of each other. We pray for those who have perished, those injured and the people still trapped. We ask God to bless and strengthen the first responders and all those involved in the search and rescue efforts."

"we have all seen the painful images of devastation and heard of the deaths caused by these earthquakes, and the Diocese of Brooklyn stands ready to support the efforts of Catholic Relief Services to provide humanitarian assistance to the impacted communities of Venezuela."
