After the Sept. 11 attacks, missing-person posters covered New York City as families searched for loved ones. Over time, those posters became lasting reminders of the lives lost.

For the 25th anniversary of 9/11, artist Phil Buehler Photography photographs of some of those posters are being brought together in “Countenance: The 9/11 Missing Posters,” on display at Most Holy Trinity-St. Mary Catholic Church in Williamsburg.

The exhibition features images of 144 victims and is open to visitors through Sept. 13.

9/11 Memorial Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral

A special Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan on September 10, 2026 to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Because seating is limited, this will be a ticketed event, with priority given to first responders, survivors, those directly impacted by 9/11, and families of those who died.

If you are a member of our parish community with a direct connection to 9/11 and would like to attend, please contact Friar Rick at [email protected]. We will be happy to submit a request for tickets on your behalf.

Tickets are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so we cannot guarantee availability. Additional details, including the date and time of the Mass, will be shared with those requesting tickets.

Misa Conmemorativa del 11 de Septiembre en la Catedral de San Patricio

Se celebrará una Misa Conmemorativa especial en la Catedral de San Patricio en Manhattan el 10 de septiembre de 2026, con motivo del 25.º aniversario de los atentados del 11 de septiembre de 2001.

Debido a que el espacio es limitado, será necesario tener boleto para asistir. Se dará prioridad a los miembros de los servicios de emergencia y primeros respondedores, sobrevivientes, personas directamente afectadas por el 11 de septiembre y familiares de las víctimas.
