Muslim American Society of New York is a non-profit organization established in 1993. MAS has over 40 chapters nationwide and is one of the largest grassroots Muslim organizations in America. The MAS New York Chapter has seven large and active youth Centers across NYC. They include our MAS Andalusia School & Center, MAS Bronx Muslim Center, MAS Youth Center, MAS Sheepshead Bay, MAS Staten Island C
enter, MAS Dar Al Dawah, and MAS Ibn Sina Center. In MAS, we believe in the Islamic development of the Muslim individual, family, and community. Through our Tarbiya process, MAS seeks to establish well-rounded individuals who are Islamically oriented agents of positive change, bearers of the message, exemplary citizens, and lifelong learners. Our Mission is to move people and nurture lifelong, God-centered agents of change. Our Vision is a vibrant American Muslim community striving for a just and virtuous society. Our four departments allow us to achieve our mission and vision. They consist of the MAS Tarbiya department, MAS Youth department, MAS PACE (Public Affairs & Civic Engagement) department, and the MAS Reverts Reconnect department. Through them, we can create projects that benefit our communities, such as Many Meals, Shahadah boxes, back to school giveaways, census & voter registration drives, youth camps & conferences, emerging leaders training, Islamic studies courses, classes for our Reverts, monthly qiyams, and our Usra & halaqa gatherings. MAS is proud to have members who have the experience and the ability to extend the work of MAS to all society and not only to Muslims.
