Shir HaMaalot

Directions Website

Services and dinner usually take place on the second Fridays of the month, with occasional variation.

Shir HaMaalot, "Song of the Heights," is a volunteer-led, trad-egal havurah that hosts musical Friday night services (often with instruments) and a vegetarian potluck dinner in Prospect/Crown Heights Brooklyn. Join Shir HaMaalot for Shabbat monthly for full Hebrew liturgy services on Friday night with singing and musical instruments, followed by a vegetarian potluck dinner, socializing and more singing. Location varies, but usually in the Prospect Heights/Crown Heights area. Email us at [email protected] to join our mailing list.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at Grand Army Plaza tomorroe night! Would love some volunteers to step up:

We need help setting up, cleaning up, and staffing our "roving help desk" for hour-long shifts. These are all perfect tasks for people who have been coming to STXB for years, who are ready to roll up their sleeves to help make it happen, and/or who can be friendly, kind, encouraging presences throughout the evening.
