Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your interest in the SASFX Young Families Group!
This Sunday, October 18th, right after the 9:30 AM Mass, we invite you to join us in the garden next to Saint Francis Xavier Church for a relaxed get-together. It’s a great chance to meet other parish parents while the kids play. The weather is looking good, but if it rains, we can head over to the P.S. 321 Lower School auditorium around the corner from Church, located at 763 President Street.
Event Details:

When: Sunday, October 18th (after 9:30 AM Mass)

Where: St. Francis Xavier Garden

Provided: Juice and snacks for the kids

What to bring: Feel free to bring a picnic blanket and any extra snacks or drinks your family might like

Our Vision & Future Plans: Our goal is to foster genuine friendships rooted in parish life, giving families a welcoming community after baptisms and before Faith Formation begins.
Moving forward, we plan to gather on the 3rd Sunday of each month (I'll always confirm a few days before!) As it gets colder, we’ll meet inside the P.S. 321 Lower School auditorium. Looking ahead, we hope this becomes a regular rhythm of gathering- some meetups simply to enjoy one another's company, and others with a gentle faith element woven in, such as a decade of the Rosary, a children's storytime, or another family-friendly activity.
Please reach out if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you in the garden on Sunday!
Best,
Lisa

If you are a Homebound parishioner (unable to attend Mass due to illness or being bedridden) and/or you know someone in need of recieving the Eucharist, and you live within the boundaries of either Saint Augustine or Saint Francis Xavier, please call the office to arrange to have a minister bring you or your loved one communion. There is a procedure to starting this process. Our Priest will be the first one to come out and meet with you. Afterwards, we offer trained Eucharistic Ministers that are qualified and Safe Environment trained to come into your home, pray with you and administer communion. 718-638-1880

“The faithful who are ill are deprived of their rightful and accustomed place in the Eucharistic community. In bringing communion to them the minister of communion represents Christ and manifests faith and charity on behalf of the whole community toward those who cannot be presentat the Eucharist. For the sick the reception of communion is not only a privilege but also a sign ofsupport and concern shown by the Christian community for its members who are ill”

Ways for your loved ones to stay connected to their church parish:

Bring them a church bulletin
Let them kinow what is going on in the church
Connect them to others
Set up their computers or tv’s so that they can watch online streaming Mass

Call the church to have someone bring them communion

Let us know if someone is at home, homebound and cannot come to church

We offer online streaming for Masses on Sundays at 9:30am and Wedndnesdays at 9:00am. Go to https://sasfx.org/ and click on Live Mass at the time of the service. You can also go to our page to watch Mass online.
