🌎 A Prayer on Earth Day

Marvelous Creator,
Thank you for this wonderful earth and all that is in it.
As we witness the harm humanity has caused your world,
pour out your Holy Spirit on us.
Move us back into the rhythm of your timing.
Guide us to prioritize caring for this beautiful planet.
Open us to experience renewal and hope
that permeates all of creation.
Show us how to generate healing and wholeness
that flows through the rivers and oceans�and spreads into every corner of the world.
Amen

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed. Alleluia!
This morning, Park Slope United Methodist Church ran to the tomb and found it empty. We gathered with Easter flowers and trumpets and alleluias, we came to the table, we prayed for one another, and we remembered together: death does not have the last word!
The good news is alive. It is unbound and wild in the world. And today, we lived it.
Thanks be to God for this good, good news. ✝️

“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another.Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
