Last night, Gorsky Kavkazi Jews of NY - Ohr HaMizrach held prayer services and ceremony to commemorate the 26th of Iyar, Victory Day in the Jewish calendar, a day initiated by Mr. German Zakharyaev, President of the STMEGI Foundation.

Three candles were lit - one in gratitude for our miraculous salvation, one in memory of the millions who perished in the Holocaust, and one in honor of the brave soldiers. Community leaders offered prayers, expressing their deepest gratitude for the salvation of the Jewish people. The room was filled with a sense of unity as everyone honored the heroes.

🕯️ Sunday, May 10th 🕯️
The Gorsky Kavkazi Jewish community gathered at Memorial Park on Emmons Avenue to honor those who perished in the Holocaust. Men and women stood together in memory and unity.

This prominent monument was initiated by Mr. Alexander Yusupov, whose relatives were part of the Bogdanovka victims. For 20 years, our community has returned to this place to remember and to bring more light.
