Ever notice how the best things in life literally take time? 🍲
Pastor Lacey broke it down Sunday in a way we are still thinking about. You want the perfect steak? You gotta marinate it. You want a good cake? You gotta let it bake. But the moment we get impatient, we end up paying way more for something that does not even taste as good.
And here is where it gets real. Jesus told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem. Not after the pain passed. Not somewhere comfortable. Right there. In the middle of it.
Because waiting is not wasted time. Waiting is God forming you.
Whatever you are rushing right now, slow down. The best results come from the process, not the shortcut.

Power is not something you perform. It is something you receive.

Sunday’s message “Gifts of the Spirit: Power” brought our series to a close with a reminder that the same Spirit that showed up at Pentecost is still showing up today.

Here is what we are carrying into this week:
Real power is not about volume. It is about living without fear.
God does not always move you out of the hard place. Sometimes the promise comes to you right where you are.
The waiting is not wasted. It is where God forms you.
Unity is not natural. It is supernatural. When we stick together, that is the Holy Spirit.

No matter what your family says. No matter what society measures you by. God’s love doesn’t grade on a curve.
He chose you, with every flaw, every doubt, every hard season you’ve carried quietly.

Your IQ, your income, your wins? They don’t determine your worth. He already decided that.

This Sunday, Reverend Dr. Kanyere Eaton reminded us “God Uses Whom God Chooses”, Not the polished. Not the perfect. You. Exactly as you are.

And on this Mental Health Sunday, we want you to hold onto that truth a little tighter. Your mind, your story, your struggle. None of it disqualifies you from being seen, loved, and called.
You are worthy of rest. You are worthy of healing. And you are worthy of being chosen. đź’™
