On this Veterans Day, we honor those who obeyed the call to serve-individuals whose courage and sacrifice reflect a life yielded to purpose beyond themselves. Like Dr. Stanley has said, "Obedience always brings blessings and their
faithfulness stands as a testimony to that truth.
Let's thank God for them-and pray that He would strengthen, protect, and encourage every heart that has walked in service.

Topic : Reasons for Persecution

Text: Jeremiah 26:11-15 ; Acts 5:17-35 ; Matthew 5:43-48; Acts 6:8-15

Many people do not know nor like the truth and they will do anything to stop the truth. They will persecute the true Christians and therefore become the enemy of the gospel. A true child of God must stand for the truth and against any form of wickedness and ungodliness.

We discussed the following:
1. Who is a persecutor ? Acts13:10
2. ⁠The importance of Love during persecution. Matthew 5:43-48
3. ⁠Reasons persecutors attack christians:
4. ⁠To stop the witness ; Jeremiah 11:21 ; John 11:47-48 ; 53. Acts 4:17
5. ⁠They hate Righteous people: Galatians 4:29; Isaiah 59:15 ; Acts 7:52; 1 Peter 4:3-4; Psalm 38:20; Proverbs 29:27.

Rahab’s story is incredible. She lived in a corrupt city with a sinful past, but God saw a spark of genuine faith in her heart! ❤️

When she confessed, "For the LORD your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath," she chose to completely surrender and place her allegiance with the true God.

This shows us that no matter our past or where we come from, God's grace is ready to meet us where we are and use our brave faith for His purposes. We just have to make that choice to surrender! 🙏

God says, "You have all lived for so many years, and almost every one of you has encountered many dangerous situations and faced many temptations in your lifetime. This is because Satan is standing beside you, its eyes constantly fixed on you. When disaster strikes you, Satan revels in this; when calamities befall you, when nothing goes right for you, when you become entangled in Satan’s web, Satan takes great enjoyment from these things. As for what God is doing, He is protecting you with each passing moment, steering you away from one misfortune after another and from one disaster after another. This is why I say that everything man has—peace and joy, blessings and personal safety—is in fact all under God’s control; He guides and holds sovereignty over the fate of every individual."
