Today our parish family gives thanks to God for two special celebrations in the life of our priests.

We congratulate our pastor Fr. Dowd on 35 years of priesthood. What a blessing he has been to so many through his years of faithful service, preaching, and care for God’s people.

We also rejoice with Fr. Randy as he marks 2 years of priesthood. We are grateful for his joyful service and the way he continues to serve our parish community with dedication and love.

Let us keep both priests in our prayers today, thanking God for the gift of their vocation and asking the Lord to continue strengthening and blessing their ministry among us.

This past weekend, during the 10:00 AM Mass on Pentecost Sunday, we joyfully celebrated the Confirmation of two of our parishioners, Zachariah and Shawna. On this beautiful feast of the Holy Spirit, they were sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and strengthened in their faith. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide them and deepen their love for Christ and His Church. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue their journey as fully initiated members of the Church.

“Let the little children come to me.” (Matthew 19:14)

This month our parish rejoiced as our children from St. Patrick Catholic Academy and our Parish School of Religion (PSR) received their First Holy Communion!

With hearts full of innocence and joy, they approached the altar to receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time. It was a beautiful reminder for all of us of the gift and mystery of Christ’s Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament.

Please join us in praying for these young children—that they may always stay close to Jesus and grow in love for Him each time they receive him in Holy Communion.

Congratulations to all our First Communicants and their families! May this be the beginning of a lifelong friendship with Christ.

As we begin this Memorial Day weekend, we remember and give thanks for all the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We pray for their eternal rest, and for God’s comfort upon all families who carry the loss of a loved one. May their sacrifice never be forgotten, and may our nation continue to seek the peace for which so many have given their lives.

Jesus tells us: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)

We pray for peace in our world, and for the grace to be instruments of unity, respect, and hope.
