For some, it is success. For others, it is comfort, control, money, relationships, attention, or the approval of people. Worship is not only what happens in church on Sunday; it is revealed in what gets our time, our trust, our energy, our obedience, and the deepest affection of our hearts.

When anything other than God takes that place, it may promise fulfillment, but it cannot carry the weight of our souls. Only God is worthy of our surrender, and only God can satisfy what our hearts are truly searching for.

Everybody wants God to bless their plan. Fewer people want God to interrupt it. But Proverbs 16:9 reminds us that we can plan the course, but the Lord establishes the steps. Sometimes the disappointment was actually directed. Sometimes the “no” was protection. Sometimes God had to disturb your plan to preserve your purpose.

Stop asking God to follow you and start trusting Him enough to lead you.

Even in the places where your story feels confusing, painful, or unfinished. The struggles you have faced don't mean something went wrong with you; they may be part of a testimony God is still shaping for a purpose you can't fully see yet.

It can be hard to believe there is meaning in the middle of hardship, but Scripture reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. That means your personality, your journey, your scars, and even the battles you have had to overcome are not beyond God’s ability to redeem.

Your story is still being written, and God has not wasted one chapter.

The Holy Spirit is not a feeling, a force, or just a moment we experience in worship... He is God. The Holy Spirit is God present with us, working in us, and guiding us every day. He comforts us when we are weak, convicts us when we need correction, gives us wisdom when we need direction, and empowers us to live more like Jesus.

When we talk about the Holy Spirit, we're talking about the very presence of God dwelling with His people. He is not less than the Father or the Son. He is fully God, active in our lives, helping us know the Father, follow Jesus, and bear fruit in the world.

One God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
And the Holy Spirit is God with us, in us, and at work through us. 🙏🏾

Juneteenth is a reminder of resilience, justice, community, and the God-given dignity of every person. As a church with deep roots and new branches, we honor the past while continuing to build a future marked by hope, unity, and love.

🍳 What’s Cookin’ at Kids Kitchen? VBS 2026 is coming to Alliance Tabernacle! Kids are invited to put on their aprons and join us for a high-energy week of faith, fun, music, games, crafts, skits, snacks, and unforgettable moments with friends!

Throughout the week, children will learn how to “cook up” a life of faith by discovering how to:

👉🏾 Spend Time with God
👉🏾 Use Their Gifts
👉🏾 Spend Time with Others
👉🏾 Share Their Story
