Home of the North Wyldewood Tradition of Witchcraft, founded by High Priestesses Denise & JoAnna. Welcome!

Practicing since 2003, we focus on animistic witchcraft, polytheistic devotion, Ancestral reverence, and shamanistic and oracular practice. Over the past 18 years of practice as a Coven, we have developed into a tradition of Witchcraft that incorporates animistic relationships, polytheistic devotion, well-Ancestral reverence, and shamanistic and oracular practices. cuses on healing ourselves and, through rituals and ceremonies, connecting with the seasonal rhythms of the Earth, the Lunar cycles, the Elements, spirits of place, the Good Folk, and the Divine through the mediums of the arts, magic and crafts, guided meditation, journey and trance work, seership and divination all within a Wiccan ritual format. North Wyldewood has a deep love of learning and works to further our scholarly and experiential knowledge. Knowledge gained is best shared and to that end we will continue to hold some public rituals and events, workshops, and, have available online, our introductory course: Enter the Wyldewood, starting April 24th.

Something new is taking root. 🌿

In the coming months, North Wyldewood will be sharing more about a new Tradition-wide project: Harmonious Earth Restoration Service — HERS.

HERS will be devoted to ecological service as sacred practice: giving back to the Earth, tending the land where we live, and deepening our relationships with Her through community action, wherever we are.

As Pagans and polytheists, our devotion does not only live on our altars. It lives in the soil, the rivers, the trees, the pollinators, the neighborhood parks, the local watersheds, and the places that hold us.

More soon. For now, we are dreaming, planning, listening, and preparing to serve. 🌎✨

Yule marks the Winter Solstice — the longest night of the year, and the slow turning back toward the Light.

In the North Wyldewood Tradition, we approach this moment not as a time to rush forward, but as a threshold: a pause for reflection, journaling, divination, and gathering with others to witness the turning together. The astrology of this season reminds us that meaningful change unfolds slowly, through patience, intention, and care for what we are building beneath the surface.

Yule is also a communal feast — a time to honor our Ancestors, share food and stories, raise toasts, and remember that we do not walk the dark season alone.

This Sunday in Brooklyn, we’ll be gathering for Open Yule, an intimate midwinter ritual that includes ancestor honoring, shared food and gifts, and divination for the year ahead.

We're here at the Sacred Space Conference, thrilled to be presenting our workshop on Norse Seidr and Greek Oracular Work—the practices we draw upon as Seers within the North Wyldewood Tradition.

These ancient techniques of divination and trance work continue to evolve, offering profound guidance and connection with the unseen. Our work bridges the wisdom of the Norse and Greek traditions, while honoring the unique ways they have taken root in our own lives.

It’s always powerful to be in fellowship with other practitioners, seekers, and magic-makers. We’re excited to share some of what we do, here at the Conference. We've already run into old friends and made some new ones! Can't wait to see how the weekend unfolds. If you're here, find us and say hi!
